Oil

Oil jumps 3%. Nothing to worry about right? As I have said before the oil bubble was caused by oil traders and not tied to consumption, production, etc. The speculators are back at it again. They see the economy getting a bit stronger so what happens? Oil starts jumping up again. $100+ a barrel here we come again! It's like a vicious cycle. Do I care? No. I trade currency. I trade forex and it doesn't matter if oils up or down, if stocks are up or down or even if the economy is in the tank or flying high. Currencies move every day. The FXGrail trades when it trades and I make more currency. Simple folks!

Patience

The charts are looking quite nice today. I see a few very nice grail trades setting up. To be a success in this business you must be patient. Everybody wants to trade forex, but trading to trade is the quickest way to be not trading forex. Every forex system or set-up requires the same thing to be successful. Patience. Without patience you will fail. Wait for the trade to come to you!

Hope all had a wonderful little summer break. Unemployment still sucks, the stock market still sucks, the economy aint rebounding to fast, and Forex still makes me money.

Funny thing how that works. The world goes in the crapper and we still make scratch. Excellent gig, this currency trading thing. Take a look at the EUR/USD, easy range trading since mid may. Very profitable. GBP/USD-same thing. Easy pickings my friends, easy pickings.

On a more somber note it is sad to see Michael Jackson go!

And On And On And On...........

First I apologize to all for being away for so long. Enjoying a break during the Holiday season, not a bad idea for most traders to slow down about now. Now is a good time to catch your breath and reinvigorate for 2009. I still trade during the Holidays but I scale back a bit. Good pips to be made for sure, but good pips to lose very quickly also. Traders just be careful!

So the never ending gloom and doom continues everywhere. The US Feds just lowered the rates to nothing and it looks as if the other Central Banks will leave the rates unchanged or lower them. What does all this mean to the forex trader? It means look forward to lots of volatility in 2009. Grail traders be prepared to make some serious pips. For those of you wishing to become Grail traders the time is almost near. We have streamlined The FXGrail and the new site should be up by the new year. We apologize about the wait.

Greenback On The Move!

Wow, oil takes a nice dip and the greenback makes a pretty good run. We knew it was coming, just didn't expect it quite so soon. The FXGrail traders were rewarded quite nicely on this greenback rally just by trading the modules. More than one module triggered trades and if you kept to the program you should have made a small fortune from this currency rally. been awhile

Hey all, it's been awhile since I've posted. Things have been quite busy (and profitable) at The FXGrail. We had a few bumps in the road, but we are cruising now. Today alone we have banked over 600 pips and we have 5 trades still open and in profit.

Still going

It has been an incredible 2 weeks trading The FXGrail. Huge trade on GBP/USD making a ton of pips. Over 150 pips already this week with several more in profit. We are rolling right along, continuing to bank pips on a daily basis.

Sittin' this one out

After the crazy day in all financial markets, I will have a seat on the sidelines for a bit. Let the dust settle as they say. Unbelievable performance by The Grail this month. I knew this was a good system, my backtesting proved it, but it has been incredible. The key as always is to follow the rules. The trader makes the system, the system does not make the trader!

The final tally for the month of February:

Week #1: +521
Week #2: +118
Week #3: +493
Week #4: +377

Total for February: +1509.

Those are some very good results. They could have been much better, conservative estimate is that I left over 600 pips on the table. That tells me two things, 1. The Grail is a very powerful system 2. I need to refine my profit taking strategy to capture a few more pips. All in all very happy with The Grail, made some serious profit this month.
